You don’t need to be an expert on PSI or the Ideal Gas Law to realize that Tom Brady is playing out of his mind in 2016. After serving a four-game, Deflate Gate-related suspension, the Patriots QB has returned to action with a Kill Bill-style vengeance. At 39—an age when even most all-time greats are washed up or preparing to give a Hall of Fame induction speech—Brady is more lethal than ever.
Brady has tossed 12 touchdowns without throwing an INT, and he could set new single-season records for completion percentage and yards per attempt. He’s ascending the all-time record books. And his Roger Goodell Revenge Tour may well culminate with a third NFL MVP Award and a fifth Super Bowl, which would set a new QB record. Call them cheaters, rule-benders, or whatever other villainous label you’d like. But Brady and the Pats are showing what happens when you cross an all-time great on a powerhouse team.
